Far East Consortium Leases Suites to The Utilize Project for £1

Far East Consortium (FEC), a leading property developer, has announced the leasing of office suites at Ensign House in Canary Wharf to The Utilize Project, a charity organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of the community. The suites will be leased for £1 rent from 18th April 2023 through 7th February 2024. The tenants are only responsible for Business Rates and utilities, with FEC covering the service charge.

The Utilize Project (TUP) is a not-for-profit organisation that saves empty spaces from going to waste. Working closely with progressive developers to positively impact the communities they neighbour, TUP ’utilize’ their empty properties for the benefit of the people surrounding them, filling such spaces with social projects. From affordable working spaces to women’s services; youth facilities to start-up incubators, TUP projects become a hub of activity that breathes life back into otherwise vacant spaces.

Ensign House, situated in the heart of Canary Wharf, is a prime location that offers a range of office spaces and meeting rooms, making it an ideal destination for various businesses. The Utilize Project will enjoy the vacant office space available at the property, thanks to the heavily discounted lease offer from FEC. With their contribution, FEC will help The Utilize Project continue its mission of empowering individuals and families, breaking the cycle of poverty.

Mahmud Shanawaz, Director of The Utilize Project says, “I am immensely proud to partner up with FEC and have the opportunity to manage the vacant office space in Ensign House on their behalf. Through this collaboration, TUP has been equipped with efficient resources, enabling us to make a significant impact in empowering the community. Our primary focus is on supporting local SMEs and start-ups by offering affordable workspace opportunities. Together, we are committed to fostering a thriving environment where businesses can flourish and contribute to the growth of our community.”

Bruno Almeida Santos, Development Director at Far East Consortium UK says, “We firmly believe in the power of community and are committed to supporting vulnerable members of society. By partnering with The Utilize Project, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and families, providing them with the tools and resources to develop their businesses. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.”
