In 2011, FEC expanded its Dorsett hotel operations outside of Asia Pacific, acquiring its first UK site, a derelict former cinema in London’s Shepherd’s Bush. After an extensive regeneration project, Dorsett Shepherds Bush opened its doors to customers in 2014. The hotel’s success prompted FEC to acquire an additional site in the area, which marked the launch of the first, Dao by Dorsett aparthotel, which opened in 2022.
Looking to the future, Dao by Dorsett, Crouch End, is set to open its doors as part of FEC’s Hornsey Town Hall regeneration project. With 68 serviced aparthotels spread over four floors of this iconic Art Deco complex. FEC’s Consort Place development will also feature a four-star 231-room Dorsett Hotel. Both these projects mark another milestone step in FEC and Dorsett’s journey to becoming a premier hospitality provider in the UK market.
